Lightweight and small at only 96g and 11.7mm thin, the 6303 will easily fit into your pocket. With the small and compact design the casing companies the whole design. The carefully designed buttons make this a really nice and very easy phone to text with and navigate around – there’s nothing complicated about this mobile phone.

The world’s most EXPENSIVE download of all time!

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

This one must have hurt the wallet! A world known mobile phone company (the company is not mentioned anywhere) has recently reported charging a customer up to $66,000 (so it’s another American story) for downloading just three full length movies via his phone from the internet. You might be thinking, has this customer never heard of unlimited data tariffs or an iPhone?! But wait it gets better, he has!

This very unlucky customer was apparently on the Vodafone ‘Connect 600’ tariff, which offered unlimited downloading’ which when reading the small print revealed this allowed up to 600 megabytes every two months – sounds a lot of memory to me!

So how did he manage to rack up a bill of $66k? Each one of the ‘full length’ movies was a humongous 600-700MB, it is now easy to see how this customer, ran up a bill of $66k! The story goes onto explain how this man has since appealed to the authorities for assistance in paying the bill. It is not yet clear as to whether he will be getting any help!

What have we learnt from this story? ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS read small print!

Motorola to launch a Ferrari branded version of its i9 phone

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

I was intrigued to hear Ferrari have teamed up with Motorola to launch a version of the Motorola i9.  Being a bit of a petrol head myself and knowing Ferrari are renowned for producing some of the most beautiful cars in the world I was disappointed to say the least when I saw a picture of the phone – it doesn’t exactly get your engine revving!

MOTO PHONE

However, all you fellow Ferrari fans out there will at least be interested in what the phone has to offer…  The Ferrari logo will be engraved in silver on the case for all to see.  The phone comes with a myriad of exclusive content to satisfy even the biggest of Ferrari fans, including Ferrari wallpapers and screensavers and ringtones that sound like the engines of the Ferrari F40, F50 and Enzo!  Other features include two QVGA displays, external illuminated keys, push-to-talk, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.1MP camera and a 2GB memory card.

But, before you all get too excited…this phone will only be available in Brazil with no news of a European launch as yet.  Watch this space!
