NEW phones for 2010…
2009 was a big year for phone releases with the likes of the Nokia N97, iPhone 3GS and the Sony Ericsson Satio all competing to be the latest phone in our pockets. 2010 is not set to disappoint and already, big release dates and new phone models are being announced. Nokia N900 – Perhaps the biggest release, set for early 2010 is the Nokia N900. With a new Maemo 5 system, ready to replace the existing Symbian operating system and boasting a fantastic web browsing experience. Iphone 3GS on Vodafone – First was O2, then Orange and now it is the turn of Vodafone to get their hands on the world’s most sought after mobile phone and gadget – the iPhone 3GS. Whether Vodafone manage to secure some of their network specific data services and features to the tariffs available with the iPhone is unsure but one things for sure the iPhone competition is heating up!
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 – To add to Sony’s existing two Xperia models, 2010 will see the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. This will be Sony’s first venture into the Android operating system and this alongside a 4 inch touchscreen and 8.0-megapixel camera, put the Xperia X10 in very exciting grounds indeed.
Nokia X6 – To add to the already hugely successful N-Series of powerful multimedia smartphones, Nokia is releasing two new phones within it’s X-Series, the first of which is the Nokia X6. Similar to the Nokia N97 is features a mammoth 32GB of internal memory and 5.0-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optical lens. Nokia X3 – Think of this as the little brother (or Sister!-Ed) designed for music, sharing, socialising and networking. With a similar look and feel to the X6, while it may lack the monstrous memory, super fast internet capabilities, it makes up for with its more budget price tag.
