Orange announce MeeGo link
Orange are set to work with MeeGo, as the platform is combined with Intel Atom processor.

MeeGo is a Linux-based software platform that works across multiple devices. This has improved and increased the range of internet-based applications and services for mobiles, netbooks and tablets. Reports are emerging that Orange are planning to Utilise the recently announced MeeGo platform, for a range of Orange devices alongside the Intel Atom CPU.
By merging their own Maemo platform with Intel Corporations Moblin platform, the open-sourced MeeGo is proving a very attractive proposal for potential developers. This should in turn provide customers with more applications, which is the way mobile phones are going – there’s an app for everything, nearly!
Recently MeeGo developed the Nokia N900 mobile phone, with a combination of advanced Maemo OS and Moblin (Mobile Linux).
Orange have plans to use MeeGo in a range of new smartphones, Internet tablets and netbooks, giving them advantage of Orange-lead services such as Orange Maps and Orange TV.
